Japanese ferry fares, opening hours and admission fees change by revision notice, and those notices are published in Japanese only. We read them and put the current figure here with its source and the date we checked it.

• Miyajima Ferry: Fares, the Visitor Tax, and What a Day Trip Really Costs
  The JR ferry to Miyajima is 180 yen one way, but since October 2023 a 100 yen visitor tax is added on the way over. A round trip is 460 yen, not 360. Fares and exemptions taken from the operator and from Hatsukaichi City.
• Naoshima Ferry: Fares, Crossing Times and Which Port to Use
  Adult one-way fares and crossing times for the Uno and Takamatsu ferries to Naoshima, taken from the Japanese fare-revision notices. The Uno fare rose on 1 February 2026 and the Takamatsu fare on 1 June 2025.
