Shodoshima Ferry: Fares, Crossing Times and Routes

Last checked against official sources on 2026-10-23

Several Shodoshima ferry details changed in 2026, as announced on the operators’ Japanese pages. The Takamatsu–Tonosho high-speed boat was cut to 8 sailings a day on 16 May 2026. The Himeji–Fukuda ferry raised fares on 1 August 2026 (adult now ¥2,100). The Okayama–Tonosho ferry added a fuel surcharge on 1 October 2026, so the adult fare is now ¥1,300. The standard Takamatsu–Tonosho ferry is ¥700 for adults and takes about 60 minutes.

What changed in 2026

The operators announced these changes on their own Japanese websites. If another guide shows older fares or a bigger high-speed timetable, trust the operator.
